The privacy of such a remote, beautiful and productive river is the foremost reason to fish Svalbardsa. Having said that there is really so much in Svalbardsa's favour, not least of all some of the biggest and most aggressive salmon in Iceland, that to rate this river in one paragraph would not do it justice. Suffice to say that if you are reasonably fit and enjoy wild, dramatic environments, you will be very happy to have fished Svalbardsa, especially privately with family or a close friend or two.
