Laxa I Kjos is a river you should try at least once during your life as a Salmon angler. In Iceland it is frequently referred to as the “University” for fly fishers, due to its many faces. All at once it can be a true friend to the novice and yet a test of skill and application to the expert. Kjos has some of the very finest guides to be found who, coupled with the first rate staff and chef, will endeavour to make your visit unforgettable.
Personal Note:
"I can honestly say that I learned more about salmon behavior, presentation & fly control in my first two seasons guiding on Laxa in Kjos that in my previous 15 years as an avid salmon fisher. There is simply no substitute for seeing the effects of subtle changes of technique and pattern, and by "seeing" I mean in many cases watching the salmon fin by fin, every twitch, every movement. I owe so much of my enjoyment and success as a reasonable salmon fisher to my time on the banks of Kjos."
