Fly Fish Iceland was founded in August 2006. Our dream is to bridge the gap between Icelandic operator and sales agent to guarantee the most knowledgeable and accurate service for you, the travelling fly fisher. With decade’s operational and sales management in some of the world’s finest international fly fishing destinations. We aim to use our passion and expertise to consistently improve the quality of the fly fishing experience on many of Iceland’s premier rivers whilst seeking to protect and nurture the ecosystems that exist in and around those rivers.

Fly Fish Iceland has a unique relationship with a number of companies  Lax is an Icelandic eco-investment company, either owning outright or holding the long term fishing leases on several of Iceland’s finest salmon, sea-trout and trout rivers. As Lax’s worldwide sales manager, Fly Fish Iceland controls the prime extra-Icelandic availability on Grimsa, Laxa in Kjos, Holkna, Svalbardsa, Vesturdalsa, Sunnudalsa  and Gljufera. As of the 2009 fishing season Lax will also hold the leases on the prolific Langa in the south west and the dramatic Hafralonsa in the Icelandic north east. We communicate either directly with fly fishers or work with sporting agencies to ensure our clients have the very best Icelandic experience. Fly Fish Iceland Ltd, through Lax ehf, also offers prime weeks and months on Iceland’s other premier fly fishing rivers including Hofsa, Sela, Laxa in Leirarsveit and Hrutafjardara, therefore offering arguably the most comprehensive range of genuinely prime Icelandic fly fishing of any company in the world.
