Fly Fish Iceland

Sela: Fishing

The fishing on the Sela is strictly fly only, catch and release. There is also in place a daily limit of 10 fish per rod. In places the fishing is not easily accessed but ropes and rails are in place to help.

The fishing is varied throughout the river with deep canyon sections that offer very visual fishing to fast drawing pools with plenty of under water structure. As with many Icelandic Salmon rivers the well-known pools are fished almost exclusively, however there are enough runs and pools to keep any Salmon fisherman busy far beyond the days he has booked.
